Dear Parents,
Welcome to Lakeside High School. I am looking forward to a pleasant and productive year, and we all must work together to ensure a successful learning experience for the student. I have been teaching for 32 years in a variety of different settings and draw on my experiences to challenge your son or daughter. I will be encouraging students to exchange phone numbers with a reliable classmate so that they can phone each other to get assignments when they have been absent. Otherwise, students may get their make-up work upon their return to school. In the event a students needs extra help, I am available after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 to 3:30. Because of parent conferences and faculty meetings, I ask that students make arrangements in advance. Completing high school is a milestone for most students, with all the social opportunities, new freedoms, responsibilities, and academic challenges. I am truly pleased to be part of your son or daughter's education and I look forward to working with you and him/her.
