February 11-15
Homework
Monday- Choose 5 spelling words and write a sentence with each.
Tuesday- Put the 10 spelling words in ABC order
Wednesday- Read “Me on the Map” to a parent
Thursday- Study for spelling test and math sheet
Math
We will continue talking about plane shapes and following directions. Please continue to work on their addition and subtraction facts at home. We will have another math wars on February 21st.
Valentine’s Day
We will not be having a party on Valentine’s Day, but if you would like to send in a special treat to share with the class, we will do that instead of snack time. Just let me know if you would like to send something. The children will be making bags to collect their valentines next week. I am asking that each child bring in enough valentines to give each student in the class. We have 16 students. I am including a list of students’ names. It is great handwriting practice for your child to write the names on the outside of the envelopes.
Art Show
Please remember to put the upcoming art show on your calendar. You should have received a flyer last week with a copy of your child’s work. They are very excited to share these with you. We will also be having dinner that night. If you would like to attend, please get your reservation request in as soon as possible.
