Curl up with a good book!
Accelerated Reader
Remember to check our media center's web site. You will find all of the AR books listed for Steven's Creek. You just might find a book that you already have in your library at home. The site will also tell you about the point values and the reading level for the books. We want the children to feel comfortable with the books they choose. They take the test on the computer as an independent activity, so they need to be quite comfortable with the vocabulary. I do monitor how well they do, and if I see that the books seem EASY, I do encourage them to go after something more difficult.
We are looking forward to lots of books being read by OUR 'smart-brained' students.
