Purpose of the National Art Honor Society |
1. Recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in the field of art. 2. Serve as an inspiration for students to strive for higher goals in their work. 3. Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit in the pursuit of art. 4. Bring art to the attention of the school and community. 5. Increase the awareness of art as a viable area within the entire school curriculum. 6. Advance aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the world in which we live.

Becoming a Member of NAHS |
To qualify as a member of NAHS a student needs to meet the following requirements: 1. Teacher recommendation 2. Carry a 3.0 or higher GPA in fine arts 3. Take a minimum of 1 sememster of visual arts 4. Open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grades |
Requirements for NAHS members |
As a member of NAHS you are required to: 1. Attend regularly. 2. Help with all fund raising. 3. Work on the art show, including putting up and taking down. 4. Attend the NAHS initation ceremony. 5. Perform at least 8 hours of community service per year. This can be in or out of school with or without NAHS members |

| Meetings are held every Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. in Mrs. Shipe's room. |
