The work of art - subject, purpose, credit line 5. Art criticism - description, analysis, interpretation, judgement 6. Aesthetic judgement - imitationalism, formalism, emotionalism |
THE 2ND 9 WEEKS |
1. Elements of Art - line, texture, value, shape/form, space, color 2. Art traditions from around the world - early art, Asia/middle Eastern Art, Western Art, African Art, Native American Art 3. Computer Applications 4. Art History Research Project |
3RD 9 WEEKS |
1. Principles of Design - Rhythm, movement, balance, proportion, variety, emphasis and unity 2. Skills and production - using what is learned in many different types of productions of art |
4TH 9 WEEKS |
1. Continue in skil and production 2. Presenting your art 3. Careers in art 4. Community connections - exhibits, speakers, supply sourses 5. Art history reasearch presentation 6. Portfolio review, reflections, self-assessments, formal assessments |
