Management Plan/Grading Policy
Makeups - If a student is absent for a quiz or test, he or she must make up the quiz or test on the Tuesday morning following the date the quiz was given at 7:25a.m. It is imperative to arrive on time and on that day. This is the day assigned for English/ Foreign language makeups as noted in the student handbook. Please make appropriate arrangements with your other teachers. Makeups are slightly different from the original quiz or test per board policy.
Homework - Homework is assigned on most days. It is in the student's best interest to complete all assignments. Homework is given to reinforce material covered in class. An incomplete will be given for any assignments not completed. Homework is to be turned in the following day for any single absence and within five days for any multiple absences. It is the student's responsibilty to show me any missed work.
Every now and then homework will be collected and graded for accuracy. This will count in the quiz/classwork column. Individual homeworks count five points each and incompletes three points. Everyone starts with a 100 avereage and receives deductions when assignments are missed. The homework average will be updated weekly when the weekly quiz/test grade is posted.
Class expectations - Students are expected to attempt to speak Spanish in the classroom and follow school policies. Please be polite and treat others as you would like to be treated.
