Math? Too Early in the Morning
In math class we will discuss the various aspects of math and the importance of math vocabulary & usage. Under the Georgia Performance Standards(GPS), students are required at times to produce a product to show mastery of the concept and how it is applied. We will learn how to construct various shapes and will explore, when cut, what the cross-sections look like.

Hopefully, students will apply the skills learned to the CRCT. It is especially important that students pass the reading and mathematics sections.

Many will learn how important math is, how to apply it, and how it is incorporated in our daily lives. Many students will be surprised at how much math they can learn in a year.
Social Studies? That's the Way of the World!
We had many interesting & informative discussions on many global issues and the affects that controversial issues have on individual thinking about the world. Many of the discussions lead to debates where students voiced and supported their opinions. Students learned to listen to the opinions of others; all while realizing that each has the right of opinion. Students learned to accept compromise and differences of opinions. Students became more informed citizens who were very astute to global issues. I really enjoyed teaching this subject! Now, Mrs. Plunkett teaches it.
