Classroom rules/consequences are very simple and fair. We discuss them as a class the first days of school. Children understand that they help us all get along and keep us all safe.
Rules:
* Listen carefully
* Follow directions
* Keep your hands to yourself
* Walk inside
* Use inside voices
* Respect others with words and actions
* Put things back where they belong
Consequences:
A "Keep smiling" chart is used showing 3 smiles for each child.
Smiles are covered as needed, when a rule is broken.
1st- warning
2nd- time out in classroom (5 min. or less)
3rd- additional time out and note home
