| Honors/College Prep Chemistry
| | | Welcome To Chemistry. Chemistry, first semester studies the structure and compostion of all substances, and the changes that may occur within these substances. Main topics include Atomic Structure, Matter, Measurement, Electrons in Atoms, Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, and Molecular Structure. Second Semester, we will be studying the Mole, Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, Gases, Solutions, Acids & Bases, and Nuclear Chemistry. Laboratory experiments are an integral part of both semesters. The outcome of Chemistry is to develop skill in analytical critical thinking, especially where it involves logical and quantitative relationships. |
