Pre-K Information
| Our Pre-K program is funded by the Georgia Lottery For Education. We have one class which is limited to 20 students. Children must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2007 to be eligible for participation in the 2007-2008 school year. Our Pre-K registration for the 2007 school year will be held in the spring. To register to attend Pre-K at a particular school, the child must reside with his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) in that school zone. Please bring child's certified birth certificate for age verification, child's social security number, and proof of residence (gas, electric, water bill showing address). A lottery will be held to determine those who have the opportunity to participate. A waiting list will be maintained once the slots are filled. |

Our Pre-K Program
| The goal of every Georgia Prekindergarten classroom is to provide our children with the learning experiences they need in order to prepare for Kindergarten. Our classroom uses the High Scope curriculum that has a consistent daily routine that provides the children with a sense of control over what happens next. By using a predictable sequence of events, students feel secure and free to make choices and initiate activities. Students participate in many types of interactions: small group, whole group, adult to child, and child to child. Learning takes place in many environments: inside, outside, and on field trips. Both adult initiated and student focused activities are provided every day. |
