CCBOE Speech-Language services assist students who have a school diagnosis of speech or language disorders.

To stimulate your child's speech, talk to them as you would to any person. Read stories and discuss them. Ask many questions to stimulate conversations. Define objects by their use or position. (You eat cereal with a spoon. The ball is on top of the table.) Encourage learning of rhymes and songs. Listen when your child talks with you. Remember, we all make mistakes when we speak. Remember, some sound production errors are developmentally appropriate in children.
