Welcome to My 1st Grade Class!! It has been a great beginning of the year with all my wonderful students. I look forward to the upcoming months to see them grow and become the great scholars they are meant to be. A helpful hint to all of my parents, continue to work on reading with your child daily and working on their writing and math skills as often as possible. Let's make this a memorable year filled with lots of learning and fun.
Mrs. & Mr. Zellner
Meet Mrs. Zellner!! I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a graduate of West Chester University. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Reading. I am currently working on my masters in Secondary Education in Foundations at Troy University. In previous years I have taught Kindergarten and at Lewiston this is my second year teaching first grade. I have also had a great opportunity to teach a Talented and Gifted curriculum in Texas and have learned a lot from my bright students. My previous teaching experiences have been in Pennsylvania, Texas and Georgia. I joke about having a hobby of collecting teaching certificates around the world.
I am married to my darling husband, Jamie, who is currently serving in the Army and has graced me with the opportunity to move around and explore new places. He is a combat medic who has served in Iraq and has recently settled at Fort Gordon's Eisenhower Hospital. We have no children as of yet, but look forward to having children of our own in the near future.
My life is my teaching and I would not change it for the world. I enjoy each day and look forward to many more to come!! Feel free to contact me throughout the year at anytime with comments or concerns, I hope you enjoy this year as much as I am!!
Love,
Mrs. Zellner
