Our Sensational Second Grade Teachers

 Susan Thigpen |
Thigpen's Tigers Mrs. Thigpen was born and raised in Martinez. She has one younger sister who lives in New Hampshire. She was a student at Bel Air Elementary and now has the privilege of teaching at the same school with her mother (Mrs. Pierce). Mrs. Thigpen is married with one little boy. She has been teaching for eight years. She taught Pre-K for four years and now is teaching second grade for the fifth year. Last year, she graduated from Central Michigan with her Masters Degree.

 Julie Batchelor |
Batchelor's Butterflies Mrs. Batchelor received an undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Economics from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist. She has taught for twenty years. All twenty of those years have been in the Columbia County School System.

 Beverly O'Connell |
O'Connell's Owls Mrs. O’Connell was born and raised in Southern California. She is married with two grown sons. Mrs. O’Connell received an undergraduate degree from San Diego State University. She has a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. Mrs. O’Connell has taught fourth grade here at Bel Air for twenty years, and last year she taught third grade. This year, Mrs. O’Connell is teaching the second grade, and she is thrilled to work with her O’Connell Owls!

 Gloria Cruse |
Cruse's Crocodiles Mrs. Cruse graduated from Georgia Southern with a BS in elementary education. She then received her Master's from North Georgia College. Mrs. Cruse has taught for 21 years. |
