General Enrollment Information Registration Form The Bobcat Before School Program will run from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The Bobcat After School will run from 3:45-6:00 p.m. Both Before and After school operate on school days only. (Please refer to the Columbia County Calendar). The program serves Blue Ridge Elementary School children in grades Kindergarten(K)-Fifth(5). In order to enroll your child in our program you must first complete the registration form and pay the registration fee of $25.00. This fee is charged annually per child. Acceptance into the program will be on a first come first serve basis. The Bobcat program is designed to meet the needs of regular education students. Therefore, the program can not accomodate students with special needs.

Fees and Payments Weekly fees are $15.00 for Before school, $40.00 for After school, and $55.00 to attend both programs. You must pay two weeks in advance to start the program. Payments are due by 6:00p.m. on the Monday prior to the week your child is attending. Payments should be made either by check or money order. Cash will not be accepted. Please include your child's name on your payment. Payments can be made monthly, and are due by the first Monday of each month. A $10.00 per day late fee will be charged if fees are not paid on time. A $25.00 fee will be charged for any returned checks. Full payment is due regardless of the number of days attending. Parents must pick up children prior to 6:00 p.m. or a late fee will be charged. Late pick up fees increase by $5.00 every fifteen minutes late. Excessive late pick-ups could result in dismissal from the program. |
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Area The drop-off/pick-up area for both programs is the front entrance of the school. Both programs are housed in the school cafeteria. An authorized adult must enter the lobby to sign-in or sign out their child daily. No one should enter the building prior to 6:30 a.m. |
Schedule and Activities The After school students will receive snack and juice. After snack, students will complete homework assignments with assistance if needed. The staff is not responsible for completion of any child's homework or checking for accuracy. The students are given a maximum of one hour to complete their homework. Students are not allowed to return to the classroom for any reason. It is the responsibility of the students to bring all necessary materials in order to do homework assignments. Children should bring paper, pencils, books and daily assignments to after school. The program does not provide these items. All homework must be completed before other activities are started. Other activities include outdoor play, group games, arts and crafts, videos, and computer time. |
Discipline The Bobcat Progam adheres to the same rules and regulations as listed in the Columbia County Board of Education Code of Conduct. Disruptive and inappropriate behavior will be dealt with immediately. A child will be dismissed from the program at the discretion of the school principal and directors. No refunds will be given in the event of a student's dismissal from the program. |
Medication School personnel will not dispense any medication to students in the Before or After school programs. Medicine will have to be given during regular school hours. |
Class Organization Students will be organized by age appropriate classes with a licensed paraprofessional supervising. Maximum class size will not exceed 20:1. |
Emergencies/Illness In the event of an emergency involving your child, we will follow normal emergency procedures. If your child is injured, we will apply first aid, call 911(if appropriate) and contact you as soon as possible. Please keep numbers updated. The Bobcat emergency phone number is (706)726-4407. If your child becomes ill while under the care of our program, you will be notified immediately. You will be required to pick him/her up from the program. |
Withdrawal All students withdrawing from either program need to notify the directors in writing one week prior to the date of withdrawal. If you do not notify the directors of your child's withdrawal from the program, you may be charged for an additional week of service. |
