OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
CMS Student Council and Student Prayer Group are partnering for Operation Christmas Child this year. Please encourage your homeroom students to participate in this endeavor. Students can stuff a shoebox for a BOY or GIRL to send to a child oversees for Christmas this year.
The age groups are: 2-4 years old, 5-9 years old, or 10-14 years old.
Fill up a box with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for a needy child around the world. This is the ONLY Christmas gift many children will receive this year.
You can also write a letter and include a picture to send to the child you create the shoebox for if you like!
Please bring in a check for $7 addressed to “Samaritan’s Purse” (if at all possible) to cover shipping costs. There is also the option to submit the payment electronically (see website at bottom). If students cannot bring in money for their box, please allow them to bring in a stuffed box anyway.
Have students bring the stuffed box to you as their homeroom teacher and keep it in your room. The homeroom who brings in the most shoeboxes will receive a CUPCAKE party.
Shoeboxes are due November 6th. Pick up a pre-wrapped shoebox in the front lobby.
PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers; aerosol can
