CRE wins Grand Marshall's Trophy On Saturday December 6th the Cedar Ridge float won the Grand Marshall's trophy in the Grovetown Christmas Parade! Thanks to all who worked to make this float a winner. The students had a wonderful time riding on it in their Christmas garb. |

P.E. Department gets a Nintendo Wii Our P.E. department recently purchased a Nintendo Wii, the Wii Fit, and Dance Dance Revolution. Our school is the first in the county to incorporate this technology into the P.E. program teaching Georgia standards in a new and exciting way. The students have had a blast working on their coordination and rhythm skills while dancing along with Dance, Dance Revolution.

Kohl's Associates tutor students On Tuesday, August 26, 2008 Kohl's "A Team" was at Cedar Ridge Elementary to tutor students. The tutoring was a tremendous success with Kohl's making a $500 contribution to Cedar Ridge. This event is a prime example of how educators and businesses can commit to helping children reach their full potential.

Red Ribbon Week Oct. 24-31 was Red Ribbon Week. On Wednesday some of our friends from Grovetown Elementary performed an entertaining skit to get across the point that we DON'T do drugs. The Mayor of Grovetown and our Grovetown Public Safety officers paid a visit to give their support. |

Scholastic Book Fair a success! Thanks to our shoppers, our Scholastic Book Fair was a big success. Students bought some great books for themselves and for their classrooms. We will use the proceeds to purchase more books and needed materials for the media center. |
