Checkout Policies |
- All fiction and nonfiction books, except reference books, may be checked out for ten consecutive school days. A student may have up to five books checked out at one time.
- Reference books and current issues of magazines must be used in the media center during the school day. Reference books (excluding encyclopedias) and back issues of magazines may be checked out after school for overnight use. They must be returned before school the next morning.
- Students are charged fines for overdue items:
5 cents per day for books 25 cents per day for magazines and reference books
- Students having overdue books out or owing the library fines may not check out additional materials until all overdue items are returned and all overdue fines are paid.

Media Center Rules |
- An atmosphere conducive to individual study will be maintained in the media center.
- Students may not bring gum, food, or drinks in the media center.
- Book bags are not permitted in the media center. Please leave them right inside the media center entrance if you are not able to leave them in your classroom or locker.
- Students must have a pass from a teacher to come to the media center during the school day, unless they are accompanied by a teacher. When visiting without a teacher, students must sign in and out of the media center. The sign-in book is located on the checkout desk.
- Students visiting during lunch must get a pass from their fourth period teacher. Please remember to turn in your pass at the circulation desk, and to sign in and out.
- Students visiting the media center with a class will have priority on the use of 28 computers.
- Please do not reshelve books if you are not certain where they belong. Leave them on a table or in the book drop at the circulation desk.
- When finished using a computer, students should always exit to the desktop, closing all open programs.
- If a problem occurs with a computer, ask for assistance. Do not turn the computer off unless instructed to do so by the media staff.

Printing and Copying in the Media Center |
- A coin-operated copy machine is available for student use. Copies are 10 cents each.
- There is a charge for printing from the computers in the media center: color printouts($1.00 per page), black and white pictures(25 cents per page), black and white text(10 cents per page).
- There is also a flatbed scanner available for student use.

School Store |
- The media center operates a school store in the media center for the student body. The school store is open before school, immediately after school, and all during the school day.

Student Advisory Board |
- Any student interested in participating on a student advisory board for the media center should contact one of the media specialists. Meetings are usually held before or after school.
