Reserving the Media Center for Class Before bringing a class to the media center, a teacher must reserve the media center online. Preferably, only one class should come to the media center at a time. The teacher should inform the media staff of the purpose of the visit so appropriate materials may be located ahead of time. If you sign up your class to use the computers for research or other assignments, be aware that the media center is still open for use by individual teachers and students. Students with classes will have priority on the use of 28 computers. An atmosphere of quiet study should be maintained at all times. |
Taping Requests Teachers may request to have educational cable television programs recorded (e.g. programs listed in Cable in the Classroom), or satellite programs from PeachStar (GPTV's satellite programming). Taping rights must be adhered to. All programs taped must be used for instructional purposes only and must be erased according to copyright guidelines. Ask the media staff for schedules of programs currently offered. Other programs are available online through United Streaming and may be viewed in the classroom on the television or projection screen. A link for this resource is provided on the Teacher Resources webpage. |

Augusta State University Library passes Students must have an ASU pass signed by their teacher to visit the Reese Library at ASU for a specific assignment. Teachers should encourage their students to use all of the resources available to them at their high school media center first before issuing these passes. |
