Essential Questions

1. NUTRITION - Is it better to eat one big meal a day or several nutritious mini-meals a day?

2. FITNESS - Which is the best activity to increase your heart rate and burn calories - weight training or a cardiovascular activity such as bicycling?

**LOOK FOR THE ANSWERS ON THE REVOLVING ANNOUNCEMENTS**

Tips

1. NUTRITION - Permanent weight loss requires permanent change - meaning lifestyle changes. You shouldn’t go on a diet for a few weeks and expect to keep the weight off. You should change your ways that create a new healthier lifestyle for the rest of your life. This is a guarantee that you will keep off the weight. Don’t believe all the hype about quick weight loss plans - the weight can come back as quickly as it came off!!

2. FITNESS - Vary exercise routines so your body does not adapt to the exercise. If you keep doing the same routine you will start to plateau - meaning you will stop seeing positive changes in your body because it is so used to doing the same routine that it doesn’t need to work as hard.
