Welcome to the Columbia County School System's online employment application site and thanks for your interest in working for one of the finest school districts in the nation. As a matter of policy the Columbia County Board of Education conducts a very thorough background investigation of all applicants recommended for employment. Key components of the background investigation are obtaining work references from all current and former supervisors and conducting criminal background checks with the state of Georgia Criminal Investigations Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Applying online will help expedite consideration for employment. Prior to starting the application process gather all the information, and dates you will need, such as education, transcripts, test scores, job history, and reference information. This will expedite completing the application.
Red triangles on the application indicate mandatory entries and the application will not allow you to leave that area of the application or transmit it without providing the required information. Additional instructions are listed below.
Work Experience Section
* List all professional positions since high school or college to include your current position or status.
* Provide complete addresses to include email addresses if known, of all former and current immediate supervisors from all of your former and current worksites. Incomplete entries will significantly delay processing your application.
Reference Section
List all personal references to include accurate contact information.
Background Search
Regardless of age, indicate if you have ever been arrested or convicted of a misdemeanor or felony other than a simple traffic violation or if you have an arrest pending court disposition.
Prior to submitting your application, you may print a copy of it to review it for completeness. After submitting your application, please forward together your latest résumé, transcript(s), teaching certificate(s) and applicable teacher related test scores to the address listed below. Ensure that your complete name and social security number is on all documents so that these items can be entered into the correct application. After you have submitted your application, contact the school principal or department director to express your interest in the position.
