SALARIES: The Columbia County School System offers competitive salaries and continously compares and improves our salaries to assure we retain a competitive edge. The Board of Education is very supportive and understands the critical need to continually update salaries so the school system will attract and retain the most highly qualified staff members. The system is committed to our employees and believes that employees make the difference in our quality school system.
BENEFITS: The school system also offers employee benefits to protect and enhance wellness and quality of life. The system offers a comprehensive selection of benefits designed to fill a variety of needs. To help with the expense of selected benefits, the board of education negotiates for lower rates and pays a portion of certain benefit costs. All costs of offered benefits are paid through payroll deduction with many benefits qualifying for favorable tax treatment under the Cafeteria Plan.
