Advisory Committee Recommends Career Resource Centers As a recommendation from the Career & Technology Advisory Committee, Career Resource Centers were funded by the Columbia County Board of Education and established at all four high schools. Beginning with the 2003-2004 school year, a career specialist/counselor is assigned to each career center.
The focus of the career center is to encourage students to apply core academic and technical skills to specific careers and to expose students to the many career opportunities beyond high school using the Georgia Career Information System.
