Our Objective LHS Media Center's main objective is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. To achieve this goal, the media center makes a variety of materials available to all. In addition to an efficient, integrated online catalog and circulation system, we also deliver 55 databases and the Internet to 30 media center research stations, 2 computer labs and all classrooms. GALILEO (GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online), which provides access to over 100 databases including over 200 journal and magazines in full text, is available at home as well as at school. (Password for home use is available in media center.) In order to derive maximum usage from these valuable resources, please ask for assistance when needed. We look forward to meeting and working with each student and staff member at Lakeside.
