Do's and Don'ts |
*Students may check out up to 5 books for a two-week period. ANY materials which are taken from the media center without being checked out will be considered stolen property! *Reference books and current periodicals are to be used in the media center. *Fines for overdue books are $.10 per day for regular items and $1.00 for overnight items. *Lost or damaged items are the responsibility of the borrower. There will be a $1.00 service charge on all lost property plus accrued fines. *NOTE* According to Georgia State Law, students will not receive grades or credits for their courses until all books and materials, including library books, are returned and loss or damage fees are paid. *Students must bring a pass signed by the classroom teacher in order to use the media center during the school day, except during a student's lunch period. *An atmosphere conducive to individual study will be maintained at all times. During lunch periods classes accompanied by teachers will have priority; then, if room allows, individual students will also be admitted. *Book bags are not permitted in the media center. *No chewing gum, food or drinks are allowed in the media center. *In order to use the Internet, all students must return a "Parent or Guardian Network Responsibilit Contract" to their homeroom teacher. When using the Internet in the media center, students must display their student i.d. cards, which will indicate Internet permission status. *Our computer stations are provided for research purposes only. Therefore, we do not allow them to be used for games, e-mail, or chat rooms. |
