Ensuring Success for
Your Child
Please keep in mind these tips for helping
your child be best prepared for the school
day. After all, YOU are the most important
adult in their life.
1. Children need 9-11 hours of sleep each night.
2. Avoid breakfasts high in fat and sugar. Instead, strive to eat breakfasts high in protein and fiber. Research shows that children who eat a healthy breakfast perform better in school.
3. Send your child prepared with their school supplies each day.
4. Make sure your child brings their glasses daily and notify the teacher if they wear glasses.
5. If your child takes a daily medication, incorporate taking it into his/her routine. You can also bring some extra to the nurse for emergencies.
6. Your child may bring a water bottle to drink during the day.
