Welcome! |
We are delighted to have another great group of kids in fourth grade. We are anxious and excited to get to know our new students and you, their parents.
Fourth grade is an exciting year, but it can also be a difficult one. Many students struggle at the beginning of the year because what we learn is truly much more difficult. For the first time, students learn social studies and science EVERY day. Math concepts are difficult and build on each other (so be sure to practice those multiplication facts). Don't be alarmed if your child struggles a little at the beginning of the year. Most students get the hang of things quickly.
Some important things for students to keep in mind: * Study multiplication facts DAILY. That will really give students a head start for 4th grade. * Study social studies and science vocabulary words and graphic organizers a little each night. Don't wait until the day before the test to cram. * Read AR each night.
We look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you in the coming year. Please attend 4th grade orientation night for more information. |
