Ms. Moyer's Health Clinic Page

A message from the school nurse:
Welcome to the River Ridge Elementary Clinic. In the clinic, only minor health issues are dealt with. All other health issues must be followed up with your family physician.

You will be called when your child is ill and needs to go home. A yellow Health Room Pass will be sent home from the clinic with the complaint and treatment that was administered to your child. Please update contact numbers throughout the year so you can be reached. Students with health issues or conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, etc.) should have a Health Care Plan filled out by the parents and the physician and turned in to the clinic. HCP forms are available in the clinic. They were sent out at the beginning of the school year. If an emergency occurs at school, these are our instructions (orders) given to us by your child's doctor. You will be notified in these situations, as well.

No medicines will be given unless an Authorization To Give Medicine At School form has been filled out.(SEE THE FORMS LIBRARY)

All children entering into the Columbia County School System MUST be immunized and a copy on file in their permenant record. If this is not done in a timely manner, your child will be withdrawn from school (SEE FORMS).

After an illness, your child must be fever-free before they can return to school. This helps in not contaminating the entire class and helps with not spreading infections. Please note that we do our best to ensure the safety and wellness of your chid while they are with us at school. Please note in the form section of this website the "Is my child too sick for school" article; it contains great hints and information.

Please feel free to call the clinic at 447-1016 for concerns or questions.

Thanks, School Nurse RRE/RSM
