Snacks at school Food items provided by parents for class consumption must be store-bought. Our policy prohibits donations of homemade goods for snack time, birthdays, and all other events due to litigations against schools in other states. Our Wellness Committee recommends the following: 1. Food items should not have sugar or high fructose corn syrup as the first ingredient. 2. Food items should not have more than 8 grams of fat per serving. 3. Only drinks such as 100% fruit juice,Gatorade, PowerAde or water as a beverage to be served. 4. **Ice cream may be eaten at lunch when the class cup is changed from Red to Green** (depends on your class) so that students eat their lunch.

Birthday Celebrations We will celebrate birthdays on Thinking Cap Day of each month (usually the last Friday of the month). Parents whose child has a birthday this month can pool their contributions together to purchase a treat (such a cupcakes) for the class to enjoy during lunch time. Please limit birthday celebrations to one treat. |
