About Mrs. Gantt
This is my 29th year as a teacher. I taught fourth grade for 8 years and sixth grade for one year. This is my 20th year teaching 7th grade math and pre-algebra.
I graduated from Augusta College,(now, Augusta State University), with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received a Master Degree in Education with a concentration in the area of middle grades mathematics from Walden University.
I have been married for twenty-seven years. My husband and I have three children and one grandson.

Extra Credit: Students may correct all test and quiz papers for half credit. The corrections must be on a separate sheet of paper. In order to receive the extra points students must write the problems and show all work. Students must also explain what they did wrong on the test. Parents must sign the graded test paper in order for the student to receive the extra points.

Math Class
Our third unit is coordinate planes and transformation. We will spend about two weeks on this unit.
The students will create a coat of arms using reflections. This will be a test grade. Most of the work will be done in class. The assignment is due November 12. The students will have a test on Wednesday November 14. A good website for transformations is http://www.regentsprep.org/Regents/math/math-a.cfm

Our fourth unit will be linear equations. Part of this unit is in chapter 4 of the text book. We will spend about four weeks on this unit.

Important Information
I will grade homework.

I allow students to make corrections on quizzes and tests for extra credit. I do not accept answers only.
