| This year we will be building a foundation of the Spanish language. The most challenging elements of the language will be verb usage, correct use of modifiers, and pronoun usage. We will begin with phonetics to enable students to pronounce any Spanish word independently. Students should expect to review grammar notes and vocabulary on a daily basis. There will be daily quizzes, either oral or written, on this information. |

Students in second year Spanish will be reading, writing and speaking with more advanced grammar, specifically with more advanced verb tenses. The most challenging element of the language for this year will be learning new verb tenses and using them correctly. Students should be reviewing grammar notes and vocabulary on a daily basis and expect daily quizzes, either oral or written, on this information. |
