CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
Both the 7th and 8th grade chorus received ALL SUPERIOR RATINGS at Large Group Performance Evaluation!
On the last day of school, the 8th grade choir has the priviledge to sing for our Governor Sonny Perdue.
Congratulations on a successful Winter Concert! You all were spetacular! If you would like to order a DVD of the concert, pick up an order form in the chorus room and return with your $5.00. Make checks payable to CMS. These make great stocking stuffers and Christmas gifts!
Date Change: LGPE will be March 8-9
Turn in your money for All-State. $45 for rehearsal CD and music. Make checks payable to CMS. The later you wait means the less rehearsal time you give yourself. Your second audition is January 8th!
There are many anticipated activities occurring this year. Some of these include, but are not limited to, all-state participation, district honor chorus, winter concert, LGPE, all county chorus, spring concert, etc.
Extra Credit:
Students can always hand in extra credit. Any musical event will be accepted. This year 5 points will be added to any student's lowest grade when they turn in a ticket, program or pictures showing they attended.
We have been requested to sing the National Anthem at the Augusta Greenjackets game again this year. That date will be announced later.
Important News!!!
ROCK ON!!!
The Rock-a-thon will be held on October 9 6-9 pm in the Cafeteria. Last year's was a success and it was great seeing all of the creative chairs that students brought to rock in. This year I hope will be a success so start getting ideas together for your rocking chair! Information will be sent home regarding this event.
