Mission for the Class
My intention is to provide a learning environment for my students that allows them the opportunity to "think outside of the box." Through reading, writing, and communicating, they will grow socially, emotionally, and academically. I strive to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning and the desire to contribute to the world in meaningful ways. |

Students analyze comic strips and graphic novels to reveal social and gender stereotypes.
After careful analysis and interpretation, they create their own comics that are free of such stereotypes.
The results are impressive indeed!! |
