What is a Graduation Coach? |
| Govenor Sonny Perdue and the Department of Education have called for Georgia educators to look into ways to ensure that our graduation rate increases. This has become a priorty across our state. The position of graduation coach was developed and implemented so that each middle and high school in Georgia has a person whose sole obligation is to ensure that those students who are at risk, but motivated to graduate, have the opportunity to work with a coach to see that they succeed. |
Priority Students |
1) Those students who have been in middle school for 4 years or more. 2) Those students who have failed one or more sections of the CRCT Test that is admnistered in the spring. 3)Students who scored below the 25th percentile on the Language Arts and Math section of the CRCT. |
