| Class Descriptions: |
Applied Problem Solving is the first class in the Technical Preparatory Math sequence. It is a hands-on, inquiry approach to acquiring adequate Algebra I skills in two years. AP Calculus is the last class in the College Preparatory Math Sequence. It is also a hands-on, inquiry based approach to Calculus. It is a college level course with all of the demands of a college level course. The course work and syllabus for the course have been approved by College Board and all students in the course are working to acheive college credit by receiving scores of 5 on the AP Exam in the Spring. Gifted Geometry is the first math in the high school gifted math sequence. The goal of this class is to develop independent learners with adequate study skills and knowledge while expounding through the state Geometry curriculum. This class has many inquiry-based lessons and strives to develop the critical thinker in each learner. |
