Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to Greenbrier Elementary Physical Education Class. We are so excited to get the school year started and we are looking forward to enjoying our new field day theme, "DINOSUARS". As you know, we use our field day theme throughout the year in our PE classes, and this year the students will be earning bones for good sportsmanship and outstanding behavior.
We have lots of new equipment, new games,and new activities in store for you this year! Each student will have PE three days a week. We have three PE instructors, Mrs. Gaston,Mrs. Vaught,and Ms. Evans.
We would like for all students to wear their tennis shoes to PE and for our girls to wear shorts under their dresses (Please check with your class schedule to see what days you have PE).
Tennis shoes are very important for each student because they help to protect our gym floor and prevent injury during physical activities.
It is required by the State of Georgia for all students at the elementary level to have a minimum number of Physical Education hours. With this in mind, it is important to remember that all students who are absent or can not participate in PE for the day must have a note to be excused.
Parents we have an open door policy in our gym and we welcome you to come by and share in the fun and learning. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call us at anytime throughout the school year. We look forward to a great school year and look forward to teaching your children.
