Mathematics
Addition and subtraction facts should be memorized before third grade. If your child does not know his/her addition and subtraction facts without counting on fingers, please work on those at home using flash cards. Basic math facts are the foundation for many other math skills!
Multiplication facts will be memorized this year. Weekly timed tests will be given once students have had ample time to learn multiplication facts.
Math homework is crucial to skill mastery! Once a skill is introduced, modeled, and practiced in class, homework will be assigned for continued practice. Practice makes perfect!
