MEDIA CENTER ACTIVITIES The media center is the hub of our school! This is where you will find Westmont students selecting books to check-out and read, locating information at computer look-up stations, taking AR tests, listening to stories, or learning library skills. Here you may also see a visiting author, a meterologist, a forest ranger, a dental hygienist, an archeologist, or an expert in some particular area presenting to a group of students. The primary job of the media staff is to support student achievement by locating and providing information and resources that support the curriculum for students, teachers, and parents.

Click here for information about Brad Sneed "I enjoy visiting schools to talk with students and teachers about illustrating and writing picture books. School visits provide a wonderful opportunity to interact with children and to shed light on how a book is created." "If I wasn't outside [When I was a young boy], I could usually be found stretched out on my bedroom floor, drawing. I've always liked to draw and exhibited a knack for capturing a likeness on paper at an early age. I was lucky to have parents that encouraged me to pursue my talent, supplying me with "how-to-draw" books and plenty of art supplies." |
