Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of day-to-day Human Resource information System (HRIS) functions insuring data integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures information in a timely manner.
  • Handles issues and non-routine situations by determining the procedure and manner to take and interprets guidelines, procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Delivers weekly and monthly time and attendance reports to business department.
  • Oversees and administers leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state and local leave laws.
  • Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
  • Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their school administrators during leave within reason.
  • Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
  • Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.

 

Contracting

  • Ensures the organizations internal contracts are accurate and maintained
  • Prepare, review, and archive all contracts
  • Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts
  • Monitoring and managing renewal of contracts

 

Assists in the processing of substitute teachers, establishing access to absence management programs, trouble shooting, direction, and assisting with problems or issues.

 

Participates in special projects and events with staff as directed.
