we get to go in and teach not just skills that support their academic skills that support the total child-like social skills for example white man conflict resolution skills anger management and we have a tremendous impact on their little live that can help them the rest of their life so we're educating the total whole child I think that is probably the biggest primary role of the impact away do we fix to this is just what heaven will be successful in school I strongly feel that the word help and work counselors are you go hand-in-hand flags on stage RS academically where their social we are there emotionally with pack impact their lives pretty much every aspect of their lives he touched Onyx on any given day number as a student in high school very seldom would I see my counselor evolve into something greater we are totally I am Bob and like I said three aspects of the students live on just to ensure that they are ready for graduation and ready for that next stage in their life like I had a very scary background and hear of being gay Osler Weber that particular students go to their safe person here in the building I actually saw this particular stood in a couple of days ago she has been snooze once at the high school and just knowing that she has been successful in the smile on her face and jaw can I give when I see you in that the accolades and thank you for what we were able to help him with screen only ever worn out using time what else to talk about how school counselors impact students I felt like that was a really loaded question because perform a huge variety of tasks each day on impact students and many many different ways times in ways that you wouldn't even expect razee time of life if you remember and helping them navigate their own emotions help me move them to learn who they are how to navigate through different social situations making positive that's a huge part of School counseling in the new we've been able to do so much with just here and I often but then to help them make the connection between a classroom to just making this salad choices when it be here at the school or out in the community those things are very important for them to be successful our unique interaction with it when the students are relationship where does amazing position attitude to make those connections with students in and if a child Avenue I think it's great I think it's a it's a good place to be and we have to put one hat down and put on the other and it just be open to be as flexible as you can throughout the whole day probably my favorite part of my job is is helping to it is telling kids that they matter that are imported and then watching them grow and develop UTC. And being out in the hallways with him getting the high fives thing how their day went and seen him again at the end of the day and making certain that everything was A-OK before they get back on their coffee we give so much much like teachers do when giving you a giving academic guidance we are motivating because so many students these days they need someone who are encouraging them hang in there on to see it through to study hard we are protectors you know for those students who unfortunately you're going through some family situation then we're able to network resources out in the community to to help them to be advocates for our students at UK hopefully teach some strategies to a kid that they can use and maybe even that works really well for them used for for the rest of their of their life until they kind of get through that struggling with their lines on an emotional level that gives the most rewarding experience is working with the it I love love which is support that data and helping that student to become all that he or she can be I love helping students that's my favorite or the reasons I'm in my job is it I just enjoy doing things that help others and education is a visit is a profession that that's what it's all about it is trying to help other people impact children and student every single day I am packed kid every day every day every single day I am texting live everything I am pack student everyday
