This month’s focus in the Promise of CCSD campaign is on our educators. The Columbia County School District’s Promise campaign encompasses the promises the school district makes toward its vision to engage, enrich, and inspire our students and teachers and seeks to unlock the promise within each of us.

“The Promise of CCSD” campaign is a means of focusing attention on our students… their future and the promise that lies within each of them; the importance of public education and the role it plays in our community and our nation; and the work of our outstanding schools, teachers, and support staff found right here in Columbia County. Our Promise campaign encompasses the promises the school district makes toward its vision to engage, enrich, and inspire our students, and seeks to unlock the promise within each of us. As part of the campaign, we will focus on the accomplishments of our students and the promise they hold for a bright future.
Columbia County residents have long realized the importance of strong public schools, recognizing the link between an educated populace and a vital economy. However, it is important that we continue to emphasize public education as one of the pillars of our community. It is imperative that we engage our community in the work of our schools and in our work to deliver on The Promise of the Columbia County School District. Please join us in keeping “The Promise of CCSD."
Objectives:
Educate our community on the promise of public education and the important role it plays in building a strong community and strong nation.
Engage stakeholders in the work of the district, encouraging them to help us keep “The Promise of CCSD.”
Provide resources to school staff and departments to encourage widespread adoption of The Promise of CCSD campaign, celebrating the 2026-27 school year as “The Year of Promise.”
Focus on the promises we make and the promises we keep… to our students, families, employees, and the community.
Celebrate our students… sharing their dreams and “promise”
We will conduct a month-by-month campaign to keep “The Promise of CCSD” in front of our schools and stakeholders with the following timeline:
August – 2026-2027: The Year of Promise Kickoff (Back-to-School)
September – Students: We are the Promise of CCSD
October — Teachers: Keeping the Promise of CCSD
November — American Education Week: Celebrating the Promise of CCSD
January— An Engaged Community: Partners in the Promise of CCSD
February—School and Home Partnership: Working Together to Fulfill the Promise of CCSD
March—Innovation: Dreaming Bigger to Deliver on the Promise
April—Leaders: Protecting the Promise
May—A Future Filled with Promise (Class of 2027, Update on district initiatives, etc.)
