Community partners donate freedom shrine

The Freedom Shrine is donated by the Columbia County Exchange Club and includes copies of historic documents and speeches on display in the school’s hallway. More than 20 documents including the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and others, are part of the display.

“We are so grateful for this partnership with the Exchange Club,” said Penny Jackson, Associate Superintendent of Columbia County School District. “The content of these historic documents is already something our students are learning about in the classroom, and seeing the documents on display in the hallways is a great reminder of their significance.”

The display is an ongoing initiative of the group to ensure a Freedom Shrine is available in all schools across the district.

Thank you, to the dedicated members and Partners in Education of the Columbia County Exchange Club.
