Summer At-Home Learning Resources

CCSD Parents!

Welcome to the Summer At-Home Learning Resource page. The resources below have been compiled by K-5th grade teachers in our district. Each grade-level resource includes an updated summer reading list, a reading log, and grade-level activities that reinforce key skills and standards in English Language Arts and Math. A team of CCSD teachers selected a variety of activities that would engage students in practice that will assist students in maintaining the knowledge and skills they acquired during the current year.

The use of these resources is strictly optional. A good rule of thumb is to have students work on academic tasks for 15-20 minutes a day, 2-3 times per week throughout the summer months. This will keep your child engaged in academic learning tasks and reinforce the skills they have learned throughout the year.

When selecting from the resources for summer practice, select the grade-level resource materials for the grade that your child recently completed. For example, a student that recently completed 1st grade should work on 1st-grade at-home learning resources. If you find the activities too easy or difficult, you can opt to use resources above or below your child's grade level.

We hope you will find these resources helpful as you work with your child over the summer. If you have questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or school.
