The Columbia County Board of Education will meet in Regular Session on October 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the Columbia County Board of Education, located at 4781 Hereford Farm Rd., Evans, GA.

The SAT originally planned for October 5, 2024, has been rescheduled for October 19, 2024, at Lakeside and Harlem High Schools.

A series of informational meetings will be held to gather public input and feedback on the proposed improvements for our school facilities across the district.

The CCSD Police Department was recently awarded state certification for successfully demonstrating best practices for effective and professional law enforcement. The CCSD Police Department is one of only five school districts, out of 180, in Georgia to earn state certification.

Each school held a special ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with military-connected students, staff and families. Special guest Richard Woods, State School Superintendent, presented each school with the Military Flagship School Award.

For the first time since 2011, the Columbia County School District (CCSD)’s Teacher of the Year has been named a Top 10 Finalist in the running for Georgia Teacher of the Year. Read more about the surprise announcement, here.
