Columbia County students scored 70 points above the national average and 46 points above the state average on the SAT’s with an average score of 1098, with 178 more students participating than in 2021
“We congratulate the hardworking students and staff who are behind these outstanding scores,” said Dr. Steve Flynt, Superintendent. “We are looking forward to continuing to evaluate these scores and identify areas of improvement. Overall, the Columbia County School District continues to perform above state levels, and we know that these scores are a picture of the quality education our students are receiving.”
At the state level for the fifth year in a row, Georgia public school students outperformed their counterparts in the nation's public schools on the SAT, recording a mean score of 1052, 24 points higher than the mean for U.S. public schools of 1028.
