TAP Talks is held in collaboration with the Columbia County School District and Augusta University and is designed to inspire students who are currently pursuing teaching as a profession through the high school pathway.

Members of the Columbia County Exchange Club recently held a dedication ceremony for a newly installed Freedom Shrine at Columbia Middle School on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

At the inaugural Forecast Your Future Career Day, Grovetown and Harlem High School students presented display booths representing each of the career pathways available to students in the Columbia County School District, to fourth and fifth grade students at Grovetown Elementary.

Congratulations, to Sai Lakkimsetti of Stallings Island Middle School for earning first place in the State Spelling Bee on Friday, March 17, 2023. Sai will go on to compete at the National Spelling Bee.

Grovetown High School graduate, class of 2022, Marcus Washington Jr. is a freshman defensive back for the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Marcus took time to give back to the community upon returning home for spring break by visiting several schools in the Columbia County School District.

Three Lakeside High School students have been putting their coding skills to good use to help others, with the creation of a smartphone app. Now, their hard work has paid off as the team was recently recognized as winners of the nationwide Congressional App Challenge competition for the 12th District.

The Columbia County School District is pleased to announce that all five high schools continue to be designated as Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools by the Georgia Department of Education.

The Columbia County School District (CCSD) Leadership Development Program was officially established in 2019. It consists of four programs that seek to recruit, employ, develop, and retain quality leaders in our district. Two courses are designed for school-level educators, and two are designed for school-level administrators.

Congratulations, to Stallings Island eighth-grader Sai Lakkimsetti for winning the Columbia County School District Spelling Bee. First runner-up is fifth-grader Sandra Toon, and second runner-up is Veleala Pule.
