Immunization UPDATE for 16 year olds

In Georgia, all students entering or transferring into 11th grade will need proof of a meningococcal booster shot (MCV4), unless their first dose was received on or after their 16th birthday. Please keep your child's vaccinations up to date! Students with an expired 3231 Form have 30 calendar days to submit a valid 3231.

Expired and/or Incorrect 3231 Forms can result in:

  • Students ineligible to begin school on the first day
  • Students ineligible to attend school, once school has started

Visit the Immunization link for more information on the GA Vaccination Schedule for school attendance.

CCSD encourages parents, students, faculty and staff to be aware of the symptoms of illness and not to report to school if they experience fever (temperature >100.4°), along with any of the following symptoms:
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Body Aches
  • Headaches
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Sometimes Diarrhea and Vomiting

Students, faculty or staff who experience any fever will be sent home and not allowed to return to school until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications. Students, faculty and staff should not report to school when running a fever.  We will continue to follow the direction of the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
