Our county is located 10 miles northwest of Augusta, GA, approximately 135 miles east of Atlanta, GA, and 70 miles west of Columbia, SC. Located in Columbia County are the cities of Grovetown and Harlem, and the communities of Appling, Evans and Martinez. As of the 2020 census, the population of Columbia County was 159,639.
