The annual Columbia County Career and College Expo was held Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Columbia County Exhibition Center in Grovetown. More than 600 students attended the event with more than 50 colleges, universities and technical colleges, along with representatives from more than 30 businesses and industries. Thanks to our partners at the Columbia County Chamber Foundation, for organizing the event, and our event sponsors Georgia Power, Southern Nuclear and the Columbia County School District.

nearly 2,000 students registered for the 2023 career and college Expo held March 9th in Columbia County this is for middle school and high schoolers to learn about colleges to learn about the workforce and careers we talk about our students in Columbia county is being College and Career ready and in this case we have both of those worlds here we want our students to not only be able to go to college just if they'd like to go after they graduate be ready to enter the war portal or after college or right out of high school representatives from / 49 colleges and 39 local businesses including Sean petrol with a Columbia County School District met with students to help them make decisions and get excited about their future careers high school educator and that's one thing I've always told my students was you guys are walking potential so that it's just really exciting to me to be able to see you know the students at one of the medication or the soon as I want to go into engineering or the help kill or be a first responder it's just so exciting to cause their future so bright and in this case just really the Greater Community with so many colleges and so many areas of the workforce that are here supporting our students to help them make great decisions so thank you for everybody that sponsored but more importantly being here and being a part of this event for Columbia County School District on Heather mccrumb
