Head Lice

When can my child come back to school if they have had head lice?

Columbia County School District allows students back in school as soon as they have been treated for the head lice and there are no live lice. Documentation must be presented to the school indicating the type of treatment. Nits can be present: We are NOT a no-nit school district. Students that have had lice will be checked for live lice when they return and 7 - 10 days after they have returned.
