SAT

The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college and is used as an entrance exam by most colleges and universities.

The SAT is created and administered by the College Board and consists of mostly multiple-choice questions. The SAT takes three hours and consists of three tests: (1) the Reading Test, (2) the Writing and Language Test, and (3) the Math Test. The time allotted for each section ranges from 35 minutes to 80 minutes.

It is common for high school students to take the SAT, the ACT, or both during the spring of their junior year or fall of their senior year.
